Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers to what homeowners, realtors, and property managers ask most before hiring Ocean Edge.

Are you licensed and insured?

Yes. Ocean Edge is licensed and insured, and Charlie brings a licensed Florida home-inspector perspective to every job. Insurance documentation is available on request; we don’t post sensitive documents online. Final license number and insurance wording are being confirmed before launch.

Do you do small jobs?

Yes — small, nagging problems are exactly what Ocean Edge is built for. Very small one-off jobs far outside the service area may be bundled with other work or scheduled together so each trip is worthwhile.

How soon can you come?

Ocean Edge works by appointment. For good-fit quote requests, expect a reply the same day or within 24 hours. Same-day or priority scheduling may be available depending on location, workload, and the issue — safety-related issues are prioritized. We don’t promise 24/7 emergency service.

Can I send photos?

Please do — it’s the best way to start. Clear photos help Charlie qualify the job, give a more accurate estimate, reduce wasted trips, and flag whether a licensed specialist is needed.

Do you work in my area?

Ocean Edge serves the northern Palm Beach County coast — Jupiter, Tequesta, Hobe Sound, Palm Beach Gardens, North Palm Beach, West Palm Beach, and Wellington. Not sure if you’re in range? Just ask.

Can you match paint or texture?

In most cases, yes. Drywall and ceiling repairs are finished with matched texture and blended paint so the repair disappears. If an exact match isn’t achievable, Charlie will tell you up front.

Do I need to buy materials?

Either way works. You can supply materials, or Ocean Edge can purchase and bill them back. Specialty parts or large quantities may require a deposit or approval first.

Do you charge by the hour or by the job?

Both — but we lead with flat-rate/project pricing when the scope is clear so you know the number up front. Hourly is used for open-ended troubleshooting or multi-item punch lists.

Can you fix items from an inspection report?

Yes — real-estate and inspection punch lists are a specialty. Send the list (or photos of it) and we’ll handle the handyman-scope items and flag anything that needs a licensed trade.

What should I do before you arrive?

Send photos and measurements when possible, clear access to the work area, move fragile items, secure pets, and confirm parking or gate access. If you’re supplying materials, have them on site. Share any known leaks, prior repairs, or hidden concerns.

What types of work do you not perform?

Ocean Edge performs handyman-level repairs within legal, licensing, and insurance limits. We refer out major electrical, major plumbing, gas, roofing, HVAC, structural changes, large remodels, and major mold or water-damage mitigation. When a project needs a licensed trade specialist, we’ll tell you.

Do you warranty your work?

Ocean Edge stands behind its workmanship and will address reasonable concerns related to the work performed. Customer-supplied materials, hidden conditions, existing structural issues, and work outside the agreed scope are not covered. Final warranty terms are being confirmed before launch.

Can you help with coastal home maintenance?

Yes. Salt air, humidity, and sun are hard on sliders, tracks, doors, trim, and finishes. Ocean Edge does repairs and maintenance with the coast in mind, and can advise on what to keep an eye on.

Can realtors or property managers send punch lists?

Absolutely. Realtors, property managers, and second-home owners are welcome to send a punch list or inspection items. We’ll coordinate to your listing, closing, or move date and communicate clearly throughout.

Still have a question? Just call or text Charlie at (561) 379-3362 or send it with your photos.
